Who is, and what in fact is the organization known as A.I.D.S., INC.? The acronym stands for the Association of Individuals Dedicated & Sincere. We have been doing what we do for 19 years now. “We” are a Board of Directors as well as a General Membership of individual volunteers working tirelessly year round to provide financial support for our services. Services to individuals who are HIV+ or have AIDS.

Are we a part of a bigger organization? No we are not. We are incorporated and we are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We meet the standards of the State of Massachusetts, the Internal Revenue Service and the MASS. Dept. of Public Health HIV/AIDS Bureau but we are not funded by any of them. Where do our funds come from? From year round fundraising events, contributions from individuals and support from within our local Business Community.

Our assistance is aimed at emergency assistance - non-medical. We focus on crisis/hardships relating to daily life issues such as rent, utilities and numerous other areas of the kind. In some instances we can handle a request on our own but other times we are a compliment to other larger, funded HIV/AIDS Providers in assessing the needs of their Clients. It is networking done by case managers from numerous Health & AIDS Service Organizations in Greater New Bedford and Fall River, Massachusetts. Those are our service areas.
